Out with old and in with the new!!!!!!   Congratulations to all Toshi  Aikidoists on completing 2002 successfully.  As always, the Christmas party was a wonderful celebration of our hard efforts and community building.  Thanks to Tom and Patty for hosting the Christmas bash again.   While we sorely missed many new members in attendance this year, we thoroughly enjoyed the company of all who participated.

Additional news includes  promotions.  Congratulations to Scott Turner and Nick Edmonds on their new ranks of Ikkyo and Nikkyo.

Finally, we would like to express our warmest excitement to the Judoka of Toshi as we begin the new year in partnership at Toshi dojo.  We look forward to building an even stronger martial arts Spirit and tradition in the dojo together.

**Continue to check the board for upcoming seminars.***

Thoughts of Spirit :-)
What Is Spirit?  “Spirit is the inner self that is you.  Some people have a spunky Spirit, some have a spiritual Spirit, and some have a teaching Spirit.  Spirit is the essence in you that is the driver behind the body.”   — Harold Miller

Spirit is a big force.
Tremendous.” -Robert Wagner

Spirit {is} like the wind, in that we can’t see it but can see its effects, which are profound.” — Jimmy Carter

Spirit, for me, has almost nothing to do with ‘spirituality.’  It is simply energy —positive energy and love.  The simplest, most humble being can be filled with more Spirit than a lifelong meditator.”  —Patricia Aburdene

Spirit is something that is released once you’ve popped the cork.” —Dwight W. Arundale

Spirit is the breath of God, a Universal Energy that, once created, can never be destroyed.”
—-Wynonna Judd
